In the community

Since 2003, Sparks Ellison has become an integral part of the Chandlers Ford Community. Most of our staff grew up in Chandlers Ford and still live here today, educating their children, doing their shopping locally and being members of clubs and associations. We have a strong sense of community support and a great fondness for the area.

Our support for local organisations, schools and events has been a rewarding and enjoyable part of building our business and we take great pride in being able to help support the local community. Whilst it is often seen as a cliché, we are delighted to be able to give something back to Chandlers Ford and will continue to do so in the years ahead.

Without question, our longest serving support has been for Hiltingbury Football Club (AFCH). We started sponsoring this local football club back in 2003 when there were approximately 150 children playing local football. Today, AFCH are recognised by the Hampshire FA as being one of the leading clubs in the country and we now have over 400 children being coached and playing local football from as young as 6 through to 18 years of age. We are proud to be a club sponsor as opposed to just a team sponsor and the red kits with the Sparks Ellison badge can be seen across the football fields of southern Hampshire of a weekend. For further information regarding the club please visit www.afchiltingbury.co.uk. Schools are at the very heart of our community in Chandlers Ford and we are very proud to have been heavily involved in many fundraising events run by the PTA’s. These have included Summer Fayres, Christmas Fayres, Easter Egg Hunts and, most notably, a much anticipated event on the calendar - The ‘Spooks & Sparks’ Firework Night at Hiltingbury Schools, with 10 of the Sparks Ellison team supplying, cooking up and serving the barbecue.

Without exception, since 2003 we have supported and helped every single school across the region with both financial support and personal support by attending events, rolling up our sleeves and helping out.

We have also helped a number of individuals in their quest to conquer personal challenges such as climbing the Himalayas, jumping out of aeroplanes, trekking the coast of Southern England, marathons and, in 2017, we sponsored the cycle jersey of a local gentleman called Ed in his charity ride from London to Amsterdam.

We will commit to, and enjoy, supporting as many local organisations and people as we possibly can in future years.
